WordPress.com & Automattic Job Offers

Yesterday, I was trying to know where does WordPress.com downloads my statistics (an URL which gives back some plain text or something I could use for a project of mine). So I ran Live HTTP headers in FireFox and I took a look at the http requests.

And a header call my attention to.

AutomatticJobs

Yeah! The X-hacker header states: “X-hacker: If you’re reading this, you should visit automattic.com/jobs and apply to join the fun, mention this header.”

They had a great idea. If I were hiring people, I would do something like this. If you are going to contract someone to work on your open source weblog publishing platform, it is very valuable that s/he worked before on it.

Clever to use Firefox plugins… it is a good tip for me!
