My name is Rafael Vargas. I’m an undergraduate student of Computer Science in the University of Seville, Spain. I write this blog in order to share my knowledge and thoughts about programming with everyone else as well as having an archive about my achievements in my professional career. My aim is connecting with other CS students whose interests are close to mine and enjoy coding as much as me.

In February 2006, I joined the fabulous software development job market working as intern in some interesting projects for Spanish National Research Council and other institutions and, since then, I achieved valuable experience in a wide range of Microsoft technologies.

Aside my job, I feel very passionate about software development and technology. I participated in Microsoft Imagine Cup 2007 Korea and my team got the third prize in national stage.

Furthermore, I used to get involved in user groups and local chapters. I used to answer questions in some forums, news groups and mail lists. I am also member of the IEEE and GNU/Linux local user group. I don’t only assist to conferences and trade shows, but also I am also a frequent speaker in some technology talks at university.

Currently, my main concerns about software are web applications security, usability and drivers reliability.

Want to know more about me? Check out my curriculum, books and projects pages, and, of course, check my blog entries. Have a nice reading!
